Accounting Manager

We are seeking a hands‑on accounting professional to join a growing manufacturing organization and take on broad responsibility across the accounting function. This role offers a clear path toward Controller‑level leadership and the opportunity to improve financial reporting, manufacturing cost visibility, systems, and processes.

• Lead and support the monthly close, financial statement preparation, journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger accuracy.
• Oversee and support daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash reporting, and working-capital visibility.
• Strengthen job costing, inventory accounting, and product‑level profitability reporting.
• Help optimize the company’s manufacturing ERP system and improve reporting, data quality, and accounting processes.
• Partner with production, purchasing, sales, and leadership to investigate variances and support operational decision‑making.
• Provide guidance and support to members of the accounting and administrative team.

• Strong hands‑on accounting experience, including monthly close, general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Manufacturing, inventory, job‑costing, industrial, or distribution experience strongly preferred.
• Experience working with ERP or manufacturing systems.
• Detail‑oriented, curious, and comfortable identifying and resolving accounting or operational issues.
• Able to succeed in a collaborative, small‑company environment where team members take on broad responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

This is an onsite role based in Blue Earth, Minnesota. Candidates should currently live near the area, be willing to relocate, or be comfortable commuting to Blue Earth.
