The General Laborer position has two main job components: basic line tasks on our cereal/ingredient packaging lines, and cleaning tasks. All GLs rotate assignments throughout the workday. This is Kerry’s entry‑level production job.

• Palletize, shrink wrap, record and certify quantities.
• Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping and sanitizing, often at heights using a scissor‑lift. During changeovers, GLs may work entire shifts cleaning duties.
• Perform varied line duties such as checking code dates, aligning bags on conveyors, refilling cardboard stock, moving product and materials with a pallet jack, filling and weighing bulk product containers, assembling boxes.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Basic computer skills required; prior SAP or inventory control experience beneficial.

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Must be able to tolerate physical and environmental demands of the position.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in written form.
• Must have some work experience doing manual labor within the last 5 years.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

Physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance. The job requires standing for 8+ hours per shift, handling dust and high temperatures, and climbing stairs, catwalks, and moving quickly around a production line. The environment is primarily in the North and South Packaging Room and Warehouse, with temperatures that can exceed 90 °F in summer.

Pay rate: $17.34 per hour. Kerry offers a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, 401(k) plan, employee share plan, life, disability, and accident insurance. The posting is anticipated to expire on 7/31/26.
