Job Summary
FIRST REVIEW OF APPLICATIONS JULY 21 ST. This position is responsible for serving individuals in both a guardian capacity and Supported Decision Maker. Guardian ships will be court appointed duties assigned and Supported Decision Making will be with those that voluntarily are willing to accept assistance. Under both capacities, the social worker will be responsible for arranging for services to meet the individual's need for food, clothing, shelter, health care, training, education and habilitation.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: GUARDIAN
- Meets the needs of the individual as directed by the Court
- Actively participates in the development and/or planning of individual program activities.
- Responds to crisis and emergencies in a timely and effective manner.
- Attends required training sessions and meetings as directed.
- Performs other duties as required.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: SUPPORTED DECISION MAKER
- Carry outs the client support for the Supported Decision Maker clients.
- Attends required training sessions and meetings as directed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
The job requires a bachelor's degree in social work or a related field and two years of experience working with vulnerable individuals. Experience working within the court system preferred. Master's degree in Social Work and previous experience as a county Adult Protection Worker preferred. Valid driver's license required and must pass a criminal background check upon hire.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in Social Work, and previous experience as a county social worker is preferred.
HIRING RANGE / UNION: $36.01 - $37.65 per hour / SS Unit – Grade 12
