Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI), a leading nonprofit organization with over 150 years of service, invites applications for a full‑time IFR Specialist. The position requires Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, and focuses on providing casework services to ensure the safety and well‑being of children by supporting families to meet minimum parenting standards.

- Paid training to learn, grow, and succeed.
- Provide casework through professional assessment of family problems and the provision of necessary services within agency policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform all tasks as required in written service plans based on comprehensive, integrated assessment, engaging children and families in the process.
- Complete and submit all required reports, documentation, and billing accurately and timely as required by the agency and funding sources.
- Participate in the supervisory process for guidance, direction, support, and approval of decision‑making, assessment, service planning, and intervention.
- Present cases for staffing and conduct family‑child team meetings.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other service providers, schools, and healthcare facilities to promote child well‑being, including partnership with AOD partners on each team.
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or another related human services field required.
- Child Welfare Specialist Licensure in Illinois required or must be obtained after hiring.
- Background check clearance, both criminal and CANTS required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of related experience preferred.
- Training in KEEP and/or Generations
PMTO or availability to participate in training, coaching, and fidelity to certification once hired required. - Successful completion of CCS Bootcamp required.
- Successful completion of Client‑Centered Service Planning and Aftercare Planning Training preferred.
- Excellent communication, organization, presentation, and computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other related software.
- Demonstrated ability to comprehend and follow instructions, perform varied assigned tasks while maintaining an appropriate work pace.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing for the state of residence required.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Valid Illinois statutory minimum liability insurance coverage (bodily injury and property damage) required.
