Responsibilities
Three Trails Behavioral Hospital in Independence, MO is actively hiring a Receptionist for our Intake Department. The front‑desk team provides a welcoming first impression for patients, families, and visitors and serves as the first point of contact for the hospital.
- Greet and check in patients, families, and visitors for intake and admissions.
- Answer and route incoming calls related to admissions and inquiries.
- Assist with intake documentation and ensure accuracy of patient information.
- Verify basic patient information and assist with registration processes.
- Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Monitor and maintain a professional, welcoming reception area.
- Provide general information about services and admission procedures.

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous receptionist, admissions, or healthcare administrative experience preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, especially in sensitive situations.
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
- Basic computer proficiency (EHR systems and Microsoft Office preferred).
- Professional, calm, and compassionate demeanor.
- Experience in behavioral health or hospital setting is a plus.
- Ability to work Monday‑Friday with one of the following shifts: 8:00 am‑4:30 pm or 12:00 pm‑8:30 pm. This will be a total of 40 hours per week.
