Position SummaryTo help each participating student achieve a high level of skill, an appreciation for the values of discipline and sportsmanship, and an increased level of self‑esteem.
Position Details- This position reports to the Principal and Activities Director.
- Salary will be commensurate with experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the rules and fundamentals of golf.
- Provide emergency first aid.
- Maintain a conducive and safe environment.
- Maintain, issue, and provide an accurate inventory of school equipment; model sport skills.
- Develop positive relations with students and parents, including appropriate dress, language, and demeanor.
- Screen student athletes for membership on a team; when cuts are required because of size limits, use proper judgment to assess skills, aptitude, interest, citizenship, future ability, and temperament.
- Provide eligibility lists, rosters, and other paperwork as required by administration; promote participation, conditioning, and training through camps and individual contacts.
- Other duties as assigned.

Specific vision abilities required for this job include the ability to read handwritten or typed material and to adjust focus. The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff.

ExperiencePrevious experience in coaching golf preferred.
EducationEducator certification preferred. Must hold a valid Missouri teaching certificate or be eligible for a substitute teaching certificate (minimum 60 college credit hours).
