Fike Corporation, a rapidly growing international manufacturer of pressure relief, explosion protection, fire suppression and detection equipment, has an opportunity for a Product Compliance Electronics Technician 1 position. Fike is a privately held business located in Blue Springs, MO with over 400 employees locally & over 1,200 employees worldwide.
Job SummaryPerforms a variety of basic and routine product tests according to prescribed standards to determine functionality, compliance and meet industry standards. Assists with activities related to test and validation product development and sustaining. Follows guidelines for conducting product design tests to meet established specifications. Assembles prototypes, creates test setups, and collects data in support of third‑party approvals, product development and business unit efforts.
Responsible for maintaining equipment and components used in the electronics lab. Assists Fike employees not usually involved in research and development testing.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stretch, bend, kneel, stoop, and climb a ladder. The employee is regularly required to walk, talk, hear, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds using appropriate moving devices.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to bright flashing lights (strobe testing), electrical voltage and live circuits while using appropriate personal protective equipment. Works in a temperature‑controlled environment. The noise level in the environment is usually moderate.
Qualifications
Required: Associate’s degree in electronics or certificate in electronics technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience. One plus year related experience in performing troubleshooting and testing and/or repairing electronic equipment. Demonstrated ability in using multi‑meter, oscilloscope, and other electronic test equipment. Knowledge of electronic field practices. Knowledge of computer hardware and office productivity software. Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and good mechanical dexterity.
Preferred: BSEET and 1 year experience in a product development environment. Familiar with IPC‑A‑610 and IPC‑JSTD. Highly Options IPC‑JSTD…
