Fike Corporation, a rapidly growing international manufacturer of pressure relief, explosion protection, fire suppression and detection equipment, has an opportunity for a Quality Engineer 2 position. Fike is a privately held business located in Blue Springs, MO with over 400 employees locally & over 1,200 employees worldwide.
Job Summary:
The Quality Engineer 2 contributes to the company's Quality Management System and is responsible for monitoring products and processes, identifying defects, determining root causes of defects, and developing immediate, permanent, and preventive actions. This is a hands-on role supporting quality execution in a manufacturing environment. This position works directly on the production floor, partnering with manufacturing, engineering, and suppliers to ensure product quality requirements are met.
The role plays a key part in building and sustaining core quality systems while balancing production pace, compliance, and real-world manufacturing constraints. Expected to perform tasks with minimal supervision and provide assistance to lower level quality engineers and specialists. This role reports directly to the Manager, Quality Assurance.

Work Environment:
Work will be performed in a manufacturing, production, or office setting. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to inspect production equipment, monitor manufacturing processes, analyze data using computer software, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The role requires regular communication with both internal personnel and external suppliers or customers. Domestic or international travel to conduct surveillance audits and on-site supplier assessments will be required.
Job Qualifications:
REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree. Four years or more experience as a Quality Engineer. Knowledge of organizational structure, culture, and industry practices.
PREFERRED: Certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt and Lead Auditor
Compensation: The pay range for this position is $82,454 to $103,057 per year. May increase…
