Patient Service Registrar

Overview

We are seeking a Patient Account Registrar
, sometimes referred to as a Hospital Admission Representative. The Patient Account Registrar collects and verifies patient demographic and insurance information while ensuring eligibility, benefits, and authorizations are accurately obtained. The Patient Account Registrar collaborates closely with the Admitting team and communicates effectively with patients across all age groups.

Shift’s Available: Days– Monday thru Friday (8:00am to 4:30pm)

Employment Type: Full Time

Hours: 9 hours – 7:30am to 5:00pm

Location: Family Medical Care Associates – Blue Springs, MO

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Interview patients or authorized representatives to gather accurate demographic and insurance information
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and required authorizations
• Enter and retrieve patient data using computerized systems
• Communicate clearly with patients using age-appropriate techniques across all life stages
• Support Admitting department operations, including reception, PBX functions, and special assignments

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Previous experience in a medical setting, preferred.

2. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

3. High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

4. Customer Service experience preferred.
