Overview
Corporate Litigation Counsel – Fike Corporation, a rapidly growing international manufacturer of pressure relief, explosion protection, fire suppression and detection equipment. Fike is a privately held company located in Blue Springs, MO with over 400 employees locally and over 1,200 employees worldwide.
Job SummaryProvides legal counsel regarding dispute resolution to all levels of management of the Corporation and its subsidiaries; manages the company's insurance claims, including property, casualty, liability, workers' compensation, and other policies. Serves as the key liaison between the company and its insurance claim adjusters and outside litigation counsel for all matters, including employment disputes, negligence and product liability claims, contract disputes, and other claims.
Ensures compliance and protection against legal liability. Holds expertise in employment law, EEOC, FLSA, product liability matters, contract law, and corporate law. Provides leadership and complex legal analysis to all corporate clients.
Performs related duties as assigned. Regular and consistent attendance is required.

While performing the duties of this job, the environment is general office work; the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, hear, see, sit and use hands. Travel domestically and internationally as required.
Job QualificationsRequired: Juris Doctorate from accredited law school. Eight or more years of diverse dispute resolution legal services in a corporate environment. Ability to clearly translate into lay terms and effectively communicate the legal conditions which affect business opportunities and problems. Membership in the state bar as an attorney qualified to practice law in the state of Missouri. Ability to use Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite software applications.
