Registered Nurse Float Pool

Overview

We are seeking a Float Pool RN
, sometimes referred to as a float nurse, flex nurse or pool nurse. Our Float Pool RN will work in our Critical Care, ICU and ER units, providing patient care across these two areas. The Float RN will need to adapt to the specific needs of the Critical Care areas of nursing, specifically ICU and Emergency Services.

Bonus Options: up to $20,000

Hours: 12-hour shifts – 7:00am to 7:00pm

Floors: Crtical Care

• P erform cardiac monitoring, observe telemetry monitors to track heart rhythms, recognize, and report arrhythmias or other significant changes to the patient’s condition
• A ddress a broad range of conditions such as infections, diabetes, post-operative recovery, or chronic illnesses
• M onitor of vital signs such as heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation and conduct detailed physical assessments to detect subtle changes in condition
• A dminister medications, particularly those used to manage cardiac conditions (such as antiarrhythmics, beta-blockers, or anticoagulants) and pain management, infection control (e.g., antibiotics), or chronic disease management
• M anage IV lines, administering fluids, and monitoring hydration levels; ensure correct dosages and observe for potential interactions or side effects
• T each patients about heart-healthy practices, conditions, medications, post-discharge care and follow-up care
• P rovide guidance on the importance of lifestyle changes to improve cardiac health, discharge instructions, and lifestyle recommendations to prevent readmission

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
