- Oversee the daily operations and management of clinical therapies under the direction of the Physician
- Create a positive, relaxing, and professional work environment
- Greet and room patients, obtain weight and vitals, review relevant medical information and current medications, start and administer therapies, and administer medications as indicated and ordered
- Review screeners related to patient appointments and alert the physician about abnormal or high scores
- Provide patient instructions and education regarding treatments
- Ensure documentation and consents are signed before treatment
- Verify medication dosages and correct patient identification before administration
- Monitor and assess patients throughout their stay
- Assess patients’ physical and mental status before discharge and alert the physician when corrective action is needed
- Maintain clinical logs, patient charts, and documentation
- Prepare the clinic for the next shift
- Review intakes and collaborate with the physician regarding new patients
- Maintain inventory, supplies, vial expiration tracking, and daily operational requirements
- Maintain and comply with DEA regulations for controlled substances
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
- Prepare and provide patient education folders and handouts
- Occasionally assist with nursing tasks, including rooming patients, charting, medication refills, prior authorizations, telephone encounters, and referrals
- Licensed Medical Assistant
- Licensed in Michigan
- Passionate about patient care and committed to clinical excellence
- Ability to oversee clinical therapies under physician direction
- Ability to administer medications and comply with DEA regulations for controlled substances
- Ability to obtain and record patient vitals and medical information
- Ability to complete clinical documentation, logs, consents, and charting accurately
Demonstrates expertise in patient care, clinical documentation, and medication administration while ensuring compliance with DEA regulations. Capable of managing daily operations in a clinical setting and providing patient education effectively.
