Product Inspector:
Fike Corporation, a rapidly growing international manufacturer of pressure relief, explosion protection, fire suppression and detection equipment, has an opportunity for a Product Inspector position. Fike is a privately held business located in Blue Springs, MO with over 400 employees locally & over 1,200 employees worldwide.
Job Summary:Under moderate supervision performs simple to complex dimensional and visual inspection of parts, final assemblies, tooling or cylinders by utilizing the appropriate tolerance based IM&TE. Reads and interprets drawings, inspection plans and specifications to ensure requirements are met. Completes quality records and documents non-conforming products. Focus is on learning advanced inspection techniques and mastering the use of complex inspection equipment.
Compensation: $22.33-$29.03/ hour and is based on the candidate's experience.
Primary Responsibilities:Go ring gauges and specifications.
9001 requirements and others as applicable.

Work Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk; use hand to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds using appropriate moving devices and as a minimum lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is occasionally exposed to guarded moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work environment is organized and controlled.
REQUIRED: High School Diploma or a General Educational Development Diploma (GED). Three years or more of inspection or machining experience. Must have intermediate troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpret drawings, work orders instructions, inspection plans and various specifications. Experience in utilizing precision measuring tools, (i.e. micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.).
