Overview

Director of Clinical Partnerships

Pay Rate: $ - $ per year, plus Performance Metric Bonus Opportunities

Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday with a flexible schedule; occasional evening and weekend networking events.

Location: Independence, Missouri (local candidates preferred)

Travel: Significant local travel required; approximately four days per week in the field

Embark Behavioral Health is hiring a high performing outreach professional to join our award-winning team in Independence, Missouri
. The Director of Clinical Partnerships (DCP) is responsible for developing and maintaining referral partnerships to achieve and exceed program enrollment goals. This role involves leading sales, marketing, and outreach efforts within a designated territory while collaborating with admissions, marketing, and program operations to ensure a seamless customer experience. The DCP engages in strategic relationship-building with hospitals, mental health professionals, schools, and other organizations through various outreach activities, including events, presentations, and networking.

This position requires exceptional communication, presentation, and networking skills, along with proficiency in CRM tools like Salesforce. The DCP must stay current on mental health trends and research, field inquiries from prospective clients, and work closely with admissions to assess and convert leads into program participants. Frequent travel within the territory is required to foster and maintain relationships with referral partners.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain referral relationships with hospitals, behavioral health providers, schools, and community partners.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for families and referral sources seeking behavioral health treatment options.
  • Spend the majority of your time in the field developing partnerships and generating referrals.
  • Collaborate with admissions teams to support census and admissions goals.
  • Maintain outreach plans, activity goals, and referral tracking within Salesforce.
  • Attend networking events, conferences, and community meetings to grow referral networks and market presence.
  • Support program visibility through consistent messaging and active participation in team initiatives.

Additional Requirements: Strong organization, self-motivation, and the ability to manage frequent local travel while achieving outreach and business development goals.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in behavioral health outreach, business development, marketing, admissions, or healthcare sales.
  • Experience in adolescent behavioral health strongly preferred.
  • Additional experience in hospitals, mental health, substance use treatment, pharmaceutical sales, or healthcare settings is highly valued.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and ability to travel extensively throughout the local market.
  • Strong relationship-building, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, manage a flexible schedule, and comfortably engage with healthcare professionals and community leaders.

Candidates are expected to use personal vehicle for business and meet all policy and eligibility requirements.
