As a Public Safety Technician,you’llbe the go-to expert for installing, diagnosing, and repairing advanced electrical systems in emergency vehicles. Yourexpertisewith automotive electrical systems and Whelen products will help keep critical fleets operational, visible, and reliable—makinga tangible difference in the safety of our community.

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair automotive electrical systems in police, fire, and EMS vehicles.

• Configure, mount, and integrate Whelen lighting, siren, and control systems to meet agency specifications.

• Perform diagnostics using multimeters, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer software tools.

• Collaborate with fleet managers and public safety officials to ensure vehicles meet operational and compliance standards.

• Maintainaccurateservice records and documentation for all work performed.

• Stay current on new Whelen product lines, installation techniques, and safety protocols.

• Proven experience in automotive electrical systems, including wiring, relays, and control modules.

• Hands-on knowledge of Whelen products—installation, programming, and troubleshooting.

• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail under tight deadlines.

• A commitment to quality workmanship and safety.

• Valid driver’s license and ability to work on-site in a shop or field environment.
