Utility Locator

• Locate underground telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer utilities
• Search designated areas for underground utilities
• Accurately mark utility locations
• Complete required documentation
• Photograph each locate
• Provide clear and complete mark-out services for excavators or property owners
• Work independently in the field using a company-provided vehicle
• Work daytime full-time schedules, with some holidays and weekends as needed
• Work overtime, weekend shifts, and on-call shifts, including nights and weekends, based on business needs

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Previous outdoor experience is a plus
• Proficiency with technology
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed
• Able to pass a drug screen
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
• Able to work in confined spaces
• Able to walk, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Able to distinguish colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities
• Able to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, maps, and prints
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners
• No prior locating experience is needed

Demonstrates the ability to locate and mark underground utilities accurately while working independently in various outdoor conditions. Proficient in using technology for documentation and communication with stakeholders.
