  • This position will serve as the county-wide administrator responsible for the oversight and daily operations of virtual education and federal programs. The individual will also serve as the countywide data analyst, collecting, aggregating, analyzing, and reporting data from all schools and programs to support planning, compliance, resource allocation, and continuous improvement.
  • Primary Responsibilities
  • Oversee the operations, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of county virtual education programs.
  • Administer federal programs, including Titles I, II, III, and IV, 21st Century Community Learning Centers, and other assigned grants.
  • Coordinate federal applications, budgets, amendments, reports, monitoring, audits, and compliance activities.
  • Serve as the countywide data analyst and aggregate student, school, department, and program data.
  • Develop reports and dashboards to support county and school decision-making.
  • Analyze achievement, assessment, attendance, enrollment, demographic, and program data.
  • Provide administrative leadership and oversight for county Pre-K programs.
  • Collaborate with the County Chief Financial Officer on federal program and Pre-K budgets, expenditures, contracts, and fiscal compliance.
  • Coordinate strategic planning, school improvement, summer school, extended learning, and assigned grant‑funded initiatives.
  • Provide guidance, technical assistance, and professional learning to administrators and staff and the mentoring program.
  • Perform other administrative duties assigned by the Superintendent.
Qualifications
  • WV Professional Administrative Certificate
  • Master's degree in educational administration, educational leadership, or a related administrative field required.
  • Successful administrative experience required.
  • Knowledge of federal programs, grant administration, virtual education, data analysis, and Pre-K programming preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, analytical, and technology skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple programs, budgets, reporting requirements, and deadlines.
  • Complete all required county and WVDE trainings
  • Successful completion of the Hardy County interview process
  • The ability to perform the job duties and responsibilities as contained in the Job Description, with or without reasonable accommodations

Contract Days: 220 days
Salary:
Based on the  Central Office Extended Year Personnel salary scale, certification, education, and experience. Paid from federal funds.
