The Financial Advisor I provides financial advice to clients based on knowledge of investment and tax strategies, securities, insurance, pension plans, and real estate. They may assist the Branch Manager (BM) and/or other Financial Advisors (FA) in the establishment and maintenance of accounts that are current to prospective clients and, within their level of experience, licensing and registration, handle routine transactions and account relationships while supporting the assigned BM and/or FAs.
They provide the highest quality of service to every customer.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent education and work related experience
- Two years of related experience preferred
- License to sell at least one financial product (Series 6, Series 7, Series 63 and Series 65, state insurance license, etc.) preferred
- Additional professional designations preferred: CFP® or similar certification
- Extensive knowledge of financial markets and investment strategies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
- Ability to consistently set a positive example for fellow employees
- Demonstrated proficiency using brokerage and banking platforms and common office software and systems
- Ability to sit in front of a computer for extended periods of time
- Ability to travel, occasionally overnight
