Position: Project Lead - Services (Hospital)

Job Summary:

The Crew Lead – Healthcare Services will serve as an on-site coordinator and crew supervisor supporting low-voltage and technology infrastructure projects within hospital and healthcare facilities. This position will oversee the installation, service, testing, and maintenance of structured cabling and related technology systems while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with hospital requirements, project specifications, and industry standards.

The Crew Lead will coordinate daily field activities, supervise technicians, communicate with customers and project leadership, and ensure work is completed with minimal disruption to patient care and hospital operations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and supervise daily work activities for assigned crews within hospital and healthcare facilities.
  • Oversee the installation, modification, and service of low-voltage and structured cabling systems
    , including copper and fiber.
  • Review work orders, drawings, specifications, and project requirements to ensure work is completed accurately.
  • Perform and/or oversee cable installation, termination, testing, certification, labeling, and cable management.
  • Coordinate equipment and material deliveries and ensure materials are available for scheduled work.
  • Serve as the primary field point of contact for customers, hospital representatives, project managers, and other trades.
  • Coordinate work schedules to minimize disruption to patient care, staff, and ongoing hospital operations.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with hospital safety requirements, site procedures, and applicable industry standards.
  • Ensure technicians follow required PPE, infection-control, access, and work-area protocols while working in patient-care environments.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and secure work areas throughout the project and restore work areas upon completion.
  • Identify and troubleshoot cabling and connectivity issues and assist technicians with resolving field issues.
  • Perform or oversee testing and certification of installed cabling and maintain accurate test results and documentation.
  • Maintain detailed records of installations, cable labeling, testing, punch-list items, and project progress.
  • Monitor crew productivity, workmanship, quality, and adherence to project schedules.
  • Provide daily status updates and communicate project issues, delays, material needs, and safety concerns to project leadership.
  • Assist with developing material lists, scopes of work, and field documentation as needed.
  • Coordinate with electrical, construction, IT, security, AV, and other trades to ensure successful project execution.
  • Assist with equipment installation, labeling, connectivity, and low-voltage infrastructure as required.
  • Participate in service calls, ticket resolution, troubleshooting, and emergency requests as needed.
  • Support project closeout activities, including punch-list completion, documentation, testing records, and customer turnover.
  • Train, mentor, and provide guidance to technicians and less-experienced crew members.
  • Identify opportunities for improved field processes, quality, safety, and efficiency.

    Qualifications
    Physical and Mental Requirements:
    • Must be self-motivated, professional, and able to support continuous improvement in field operations.
    • Must promote the Company’s culture and mission when working with employees, vendors, customers, hospital staff, and business partners.
    • Must have 3–5 years of experience in telecommunications, structured cabling, low-voltage systems, or a related technical field
      .
    • General knowledge of telecommunications, network infrastructure, and low-voltage equipment and systems.
    • Basic understanding of AC/DC power principles and low-voltage infrastructure.
    • Must be able to work independently while maintaining a high level of productivity and attention to detail.
    • Must be able to act as the Company liaison with customer and hospital representatives.
    • Must possess strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
