Ernest Sewell, CPA is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our growing practice in Bluffton, South Carolina. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building long-term client relationships, preparing high-quality tax returns, and working in a collaborative, professional environment without the demands often found in large public accounting firms.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare federal and state individual, business, trust, and partnership income tax returns.
• Prepare financial statements and related accounting reports.
• Assist clients with bookkeeping and accounting matters.
• Work with Quick Books Online and Quick Books Desktop to maintain accurate financial records.
• Review client financial information and identify opportunities for tax planning and process improvements.
• Communicate directly with clients to answer questions and provide exceptional service.
• Assist during tax season while supporting clients throughout the year.

Qualifications:

• 5–10 years of public accounting experience required.
• Strong experience preparing income tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Experience preparing financial statements.
• Proficiency with Quick Books (Online and/or Desktop).
• CPA license is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a small, team-oriented office.
