Our client is a well-established owner, developer, and operator of a large‑scale mixed‑use residential and recreational community in the Southeast. • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
• Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Manage multi‑entity accounting, consolidations, and intercompany transactions
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities
• Partner with operational leaders across development, construction, real‑estate sales, and marketing
• Coordinate annual audits and tax compliance activities
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting processes
• Assist with system improvements and reporting enhancements
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong background in land or real estate development accounting
• Experience managing multi‑entity accounting environments
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls

• CPA strongly preferred
• Prior experience in a Controller position
• Public accounting background
• Experience with large‑scale development projects ($20M+)
