What You’ll Do

As a Bright Bee Instructional assistant, you’ll support students in local after school programs —supporting their after school educational goals as well as supporting in their canteen/food service capabilities as directed by each school site.
The more sites and assignment types you are open to working, the more your earning potential is
. Bright Bee recruits candidates (that's you!) to support local schools and nonprofits. You will use our Bright Bee app to claim assignments at schools/non-profits in your area and get paid a week later. Our goal is simple: help schools succeed and give workers the tools they need to grow in their careers.
- 5 days per week
- After school day shifts (2pm-6pm)
A hive is a geographical region of multiple school districts and sites that you (as a Bee) will be able to claim assignments at. These assignments could be as short as a single day or as long as multiple week/months. You should be willing/able to commute to various school sites in the Beaufort area to be considered.

- HS diploma
- 6 months of working with youth is preferred for certain sites
- You enjoy supporting behavioral growth for kids or teens
- You’re patient, reliable, and positive
- You’re looking for impactful consistent work
To keep students safe
, as an independent contractor, you’ll need to:
- Pay & Pass a background check
- Follow safety and reporting guidelines

PLEASE NOTE:
Costs associated with the clearance process are the sole responsibility of the candidate, as this engagement is for an independent contractor role rather than a traditional employment position. Requirements vary by state but may include the cost of a background check, obtaining a copy of any college transcript you have, and the cost of completing Mandated Reporter training.
The average cost of completing clearance in South Carolina for student support is between $260-275.

Prior to working with students, you will need to pass a background check, livescan and may need to obtain other necessary testing/clearances and provide us with authorization to contact former employers.. Rest assured, we will guide you through the process!
Please note, assignments may require the ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.

$18.50 - $26 an hour
Hourly range is $18.50-26 (including milestone bonuses based on number of assignments worked and can increase based on demand)
