Designs important civil engineering land development projects, ranging from commercial and residential site designs to water/sewer conveyance to coastal stormwater quality improvement projects. Senior level mentoring and training is available for entry level candidates.

• Designing water, sanitary sewer, paving, grading, drainage, and erosion control systems
• Preparing stormwater models and calculation reports
• Using Auto Desk Civil 3D software for construction drawings
• Estimating construction costs and quantities
• Completing permit application packages and attending meetings

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering from an ABET Accredited Program
• AutoCAD experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Supports design of important land development projects. This job requires attention to a high level of detail in order to maintain superior design quality/presentation while working efficiently to meet project deadlines.

• Site plan and utility layout in AutoCAD
• Preparation and review of final construction drawings
• Assisting project engineers with design calculations
• Tabulating construction quantity takeoffs
• Aiding with company drafting and file organization standards

• Associates Degree in Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, or Computer Aided Drafting
• Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D software
• Experience with land surveying principals
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Coordinates all activities of a land development design team under the direction of a licensed professional engineer and project manager. The ideal candidate will be organized, assertive, and personable.

• Submit design packages and secure regulatory approval for important community projects
• Track and assist in the optimization of all design team activities from pre‑project forecasting through project closure and archiving.
• Communicate regularly with clients, subconsultants, government agencies, contractors, and others about project matters, contracts, billing, and collections.
