The CT technologist assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the CT equipment to obtain diagnostic scans.

- Education: 2‑year/associate degree, preferred. Graduate of an ARRT‑approved Radiography Program or ARRT‑approved/NMTCB‑recognized Nuclear Medicine Program, required.
- Experience: One year experience in CT, preferred.
- Licensure / Certification:
- NH Medical Center – Certified and registered by ARRT in CT‑RT(R) or RT(N) or CNMT at time of hire. Certification to CT‑RT(R)(CT) or RT(N)(CT) or CNMT, RT(CT) within 6 months required.
- NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility or Hospital Outpatient Department – Certified and registered by ARRT in CT‑RT(R)(CT) or RT(N)(CT) or CNMT, RT(CT), required.
- NH Medical Group Office – Certified and registered by ARRT in CT‑RT(R)(CT) or RT(N)(CT) or CNMT, RT(CT), required.
- IV Credentialed, required.
- Refer to Life Support Training Policy NH‑HR‑3096 for life support training requirement, required.
- Applicable state license, required.
- Additional Skills (required): Analytical ability, basic computer skills, good communication, ability to adapt to procedures based on patient age, interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to age‑specific needs, prepare patient for procedures, and operate CT equipment.
