Position: Assistant General Manager (55+ Lifestyle Community)

Overview

Turn on your Island Charm… Latitude Margaritaville Hilton Head is looking for an Assistant General Manager to join our team!

Purpose

The Latitude Margaritaville Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the Community General Manager (GM) in leadership, mentoring, and accountability of property leaders and associates while delivering The Latitude Margaritaville Lifestyle to the residents. The Lifestyle includes high‑quality food and beverage service, live music, complex amenities, large events, fitness, theater, wood shop, pottery, sports and more. The AGM ensures residents’ experiences are excellent by leading the team in customer service, maintaining pristine appearance, addressing resident concerns, and ensuring efficient operations.

The AGM facilitates effective communication between departments to operate a large resort‑style campus and Latitude Lifestyle events in the Town Center.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Daily planning, management and oversight of the property in alignment with the GM.
  • Serve as the on‑site First Service Team Leader reporting to the Vice President of the management company.
  • Communicate with GM, Regional F&B/HOA Directors and developer senior leadership on key matters.
  • Stay current with industry concepts, practices and procedures that align with the Latitude Margaritaville Brand.
  • Contribute to lifestyle, brand culture and resident experience by fostering a positive team atmosphere.
  • Oversee facility operations of amenities such as Bar & Chill, Association offices, sports courts, game lawn, dog park, fitness center, theater, and the management team that supports them.
  • Review resident feedback via Eliant scoring, social media and the Coyle Experience; develop and implement improvements.
  • Review employee feedback through Margaritaville Employee Survey and create action plans.
  • Maintain a high standard of community appearance, hospitality and service.
  • Lead onboarding programming, including Brand Immersion and training for all new team members.
  • Work with department heads to control labor expenses while maintaining quality.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of governing documents, policies and procedures and enforce them.
  • Ensure that Property First and Second calls are held and information communicated effectively to the team.
  • Conduct regular management meetings with key leaders and create action items to measure progress.
  • Communicate with GM regularly on department meetings and key action items progress.
  • Manage key operational vendors.
  • Participate in the Nudge App.
HOA/Amenity Association
  • Partner with CAM/Area Manager to ensure HOA operates efficiently and provides the highest customer service standards.
  • Assist with escalation of resident needs and ensure high standards of communication and service.
  • Participate in Board Meetings and HOA/Amenity Annual Meetings to support the CAM.
  • Assist Maintenance Manager with oversight of operational vendors.
  • Minimize association liabilities by overseeing a documented safety program and emergency response.
Lifestyle/Fitness
  • Support Lifestyle/Fitness Managers with promotions, ideas and resident‑driven F&B programming.
  • Support execution of lifestyle and fitness events as required.
Financial Management
  • Participate in budget creation and presentation for all departments with GM/Developer Area Manager/CAM/Department Heads/Accountant.
  • Understand and report on fluctuations for all COS, labor and related expenses.
  • Operate assets in owners’ best interest per governing documents and guidelines.
  • Monitor financial metrics: receipts, inventory, cash, invoices, purchases and reports.
Human Resource Role
  • Maintain knowledge of policies, procedures and enforcement.
  • Provide leadership and direction to employees in alignment with GM.
  • Handle all HR matters per First Service Standards.
  • Implement development and succession plans.
  • Monitor schedules for adequate coverage.
  • Ensure uniform standards are adhered to.
  • Assist with hiring and disciplinary actions.
Food & Beverage
  • Maintain a strong F&B program that reflects the Latitude Margaritaville Lifestyle and Brand Standards.
  • Partner with Restaurant General Manager to monitor F&B labor, COS and expenses.
