Description
Essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Oversees and provides direction to DO’s and GM’s on all service‑related issues
- Drives execution of work orders and ad‑hoc restaurant repair requests
- Reviews and provides feedback on Requests for Proposal (RFP)
- Reviews and provides feedback on specific Scopes of Work (SOW)
- Performs field inspections to ensure our restaurants meet Jim ‘N Nick’s BAR‑B‑Q standards
- Participates and provides clear communication with cross‑functional department initiatives
- Contributes to and upholds the Jim ‘N Nick’s BAR‑B‑Q brand standards
- Understands and promotes the Jim ‘N Nick’s BAR‑B‑Q culture, stays abreast of people and competitive issues/events
- Overall responsibility for planning, launching and sustaining a comprehensive facility management strategy in support of the brand image
- Working knowledge of facilities systems, kitchen equipment, HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
- Review and approve project scopes, RFPs, budgets and lead special projects as assigned
- Assist in Facilities Strategic Plan implementation
- Provide continuous improvement ideas, methods and best practices, document and implement them
- Provide in‑the‑moment coaching with DO’s, GM’s and restaurant crews
- Provide emergency services day or night; support all types of emergency situations including damage assessments, recovery response, emergency services, backup utility services
- Seeks and welcomes the opportunity to learn new techniques and tasks
- Builds support and commitment among others around company initiatives
- Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required from time to time
- Review invoices to ensure overall value, fair labor and adherence to contract pricing
- Analyze and synthesize large amounts of quantitative and qualitative information and extrapolate the business and financial significance
- Understand, interpret and apply financial disciplines to all aspects of business
- Forecast and project trends; proactively manage the financial viability of the business
- Ensure project, building and equipment replacement are completed timely and within budget
- Capture, organize and validate current and future capital needs
- Model personal excellence and consistency in day‑to‑day behaviors and accomplishments
- Identify and analyze problems and develop workable solutions
- Demonstrate a sincere commitment to work collaboratively with all constituent groups

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience, particularly in the food‑service industry
- 5+ years’ experience managing facilities and remodels of a multi‑unit restaurant chain
- 5+ years working in physical facilities management, repair and maintenance
- Experience managing contractor, vendor and other trades relationships
- Ability to plan and execute multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment
- Professional attitude and work ethic with strong time‑management skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule independently with minimal supervision and occasional travel
- Working knowledge of facilities systems, kitchen equipment, HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
- Must be reachable 24/7, 365 days a year for emergencies
