PURPOSEBerkeley Hall Club is seeking a sophisticated and service-focused Bartender to craft exceptional beverage experiences for our members and guests. This role requires expertise in beverage preparation, strong knowledge of alcohol service laws, and the ability to create a welcoming and refined bar atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities Expert Beverage Service- Prepare and serve premium cocktails, wines, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and consistency.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of bar menu offerings, wine lists, and current beverage trends.
- Ensure compliance with South Carolina alcohol service laws and Club policies.
- Provide attentive, personalized service.
- Anticipate guest needs while maintaining professionalism and discretion.
- Monitor alcohol consumption and follow responsible service standards.
- Maintain inventory of liquors, supplies, and beverages; notify management when replenishment is needed.
- Ensure freshness and quality of fruits, juices, and garnishes.
- Arrange bar displays to meet predetermined presentation standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary bar area in compliance with Health Code regulations.
- Accurately and efficiently enter orders into the POS system.
- Support dining room service when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience in Hospitality: Previous experience in a bartending and serving role within a fine dining or upscale environment is preferred.
- Professional Appearance: Maintain a well-groomed and polished appearance that reflects the standards of our community.

- Availability: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as our community thrives during these times.
- Must possess a current Serv Safe Alcohol Certification or be able to obtain certification within 30 days of employment.
- Must adhere to all alcohol awareness and safety standards.
- Standing and Walking: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, often up to 8 hours during shifts.
- Lifting and Carrying: Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds regularly, including trays, supplies, and equipment.
- Bending and Reaching: Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching to access supplies and equipment behind the bar or in the dining area.
- Manual Dexterity: Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to efficiently handle bar tools and serve beverages.
- Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to thrive in a busy environment, managing multiple tasks while maintaining composure and attention to detail.
