The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations. This position will manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts. The Assistant Manager will be expected to lead the store team members in servicing customers.
Essential Job Functions- Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
- Supervise the customer service levels in the retail showroom, including team member execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.).
- Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak retail business hours (lunch, late‑afternoons, evenings, weekends).
- Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching and mentoring team members, and ensuring team members stay current on their individual training.
- Make sure the telephone is answered according to company policy.
- Ensure all buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders are processed in a timely manner and customers are contacted upon shipment arrivals as needed.
- Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger to ensure special orders and outside purchases are handled efficiently and according to procedure.
- Ensure retail customer returns and exchanges are processed efficiently and friendly, refunds are issued accurately using the correct payment methods, and returned merchandise is processed or staged in the returns area correctly.
- Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, is invoiced before product leaves the store.
- Ensure that Zipline messages are communicated, and Image Maker and merchandising tasks are delegated and completed as assigned.
- Ensure all team members comply with company policies, including posting work schedule, changes/deviations approved by a member of management, and clocking in/out accordingly.
- Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day‑end procedures, verifying and securing money and deposits, preparing bank deposits as needed, ensuring all night security lights are on, locking doors and securing building, arming and disarming security alarms, and checking and securing delivery vehicles parked in a secure designated area.
- Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage and lighting, computer hardware, in‑store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles.

- Sales Specialist Training
- Assistant Manager Certification
- RSS Certification

- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired)
