Job Description

The Field Safety Coordinator is responsible for promoting, implementing, and monitoring safety programs across job sites to ensure a safe working environment. This role provides on-site support to field teams, conducts inspections, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities Safety Compliance & Oversight

Monitor job sites to ensure adherence to OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and local/state requirements.

Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and job hazard analyses (JHAs).

Identify unsafe conditions and behaviors; recommend corrective actions.

Ensure subcontractors and vendors follow established safety guidelines.

Training & Communication

Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and job-specific training to field staff.

Assist with onboarding and training of new employees on safety protocols.

Maintain clear communication between field crews, supervisors, and management regarding safety concerns.

Incident Management

Respond to and investigate incidents, near-misses, and injuries.

Prepare detailed incident reports and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Support return‑to‑work processes and maintain accurate safety documentation.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain safety logs, training records, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.

Assist in preparing reports for management, regulatory agencies, and internal audits.

Track safety metrics and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Field Support

Provide guidance on safe work practices, PPE usage, and hazard mitigation.

Participate in job-site planning meetings to review safety requirements.

Support emergency preparedness, including drills and response coordination.
