Computer Lab teacher- Elementary

An elementary computer lab teacher develops and delivers technology lesson plans, teaches foundational digital skills like typing and internet safety, and oversees lab hardware and software. They bridge the gap between core subjects and technology by collaborating with classroom teachers to integrate digital tools into daily learning.

• Instruction & Curriculum: Create age-appropriate, hands‑on lesson plans covering keyboarding, basic coding, digital citizenship, and research skills.
• Technical Support: Troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues, maintain lab equipment, and coordinate with the district IT department for major repairs.
• Collaboration: Work alongside classroom teachers to align lab activities with general education curriculums and learning goals.
• Assessment & Evaluation: Monitor student progress, grade technology assignments, and provide feedback on technical competencies.
• Lab Management: Enforce computer usage policies, maintain a safe digital environment.

• Collaborate with teachers to integrate technology into classroom activities and support them in using educational software and tools effectively.
• Maintain the computer lab's cleanliness, organization, and functionality, including regular equipment checks and updates.
• Assist with the setup and maintenance of hardware, software, and peripherals in the lab.
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest educational technology trends and software updates relevant to the computer lab.
• Contribute to the development of instructional materials and resources to enhance computer literacy skills.
