The Refractory Tech is responsible for safe and efficient performance in the Refractory department at all times. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Inspection, repair or replacement of ladle and tundish refractories
• Review and understanding procedures at the Ladlewall, Tundish Yard, and Bricking Stand
• Crane and mobile equipment operation
• Maintenance responsibilities of the refractory area

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

• Melt Shop and/or Refractory experience

• Proven track record as a team player
• Mobile equipment experience
