BasicJob Functions:
Nucor Steel Arkansas is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Melt Shop Shift Supervisor. The role of the Shift Supervisor includes, but is not limited to, being a proven leader who communicates and upholds our safety policies and procedures while supporting the goals of the division and the department. This person will be asked to lead, coach, and develop our teammates in all aspects of production operations.
They are also responsible for their personal growth and development while driving continual improvement in safety, quality, cost, production, and profitability. They must be able to think strategically and ensure that we maximize the availability and efficiency of the department.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:- Minimum of 5 years of steel industry experience
- Minimum of 3 years of prior supervisory or leadership experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
