Job Functions:

• Ensure safe work environment for themselves and their coworkers.
• Ensure production of high-quality product through proper Tunnel Furnace maintenance and operation.
• Manage, monitor, maintain, troubleshoot and repair the Tunnel Furnace Equipment.
• Must be willing to work a "Day" schedule Monday through Friday with flexibility to cover night/weekend shifts as needed.
• Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in a production role with demonstrated mechanical aptitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of and experience with the combustion systems, refractory, bearings & lubrication systems, and rolling processes.
• Demonstrated ability to interact with vendors, manage inventory of consumable items, and track/manage area cost.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
