The selected candidate will provide specialized family-centered care for acutely ill/injured infants, children, and teens in the Beeghly Emergency Department. The Emergency Department sees more than 38,000 visits annually and is a 35,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility with 23 treatment rooms. The Beeghly campus ED collaborates with the Akron campus, which is a designated level 1 trauma center. Akron Children's Hospital is the only pediatric hospital in northeast Ohio with its own helicopter and pediatric transport team.

This position is a 501(c)(3) site and qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness through the Federal government.

MD or DO degree, board eligibility/certification in Pediatric Emergency Medicine, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and the ability to obtain an active medical license in the state of Ohio.
