Title I Reading Tutor
Location:
Boardman Center Intermediate School
- Hours:
Determined by building principal, not to exceed 29 hours per week - Rate: $22.00 per hour with a valid Teaching License; $20.00 per hour with a valid Educational Aide Permit
Center Intermediate School requires a Reading Tutor to provide one‑on‑one and small group reading instruction to intermediate school students, focusing on comprehension, fluency, and vocabulary development.
Responsibilities- Assess student reading levels and progress using standardized tools; adapt instructional strategies to meet individual learning needs.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to align reading interventions with classroom curriculum and student learning goals.
- Communicate effectively with parents / guardians about students' progress.
- Possess either a valid Teaching License or an Educational Aide Permit.
- Must have fulfilled the requirements defined by the Ohio state licensure for grade band, student population, and subject content.
