Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgery
The Surgical Hospital at Southwoods
Boardman, OH | 32 Hours per Week | 4 Weekdays: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (With Scheduled Lates)
Southwoods Health is seeking a dedicated full-time Surgery RN to join our award-winning team at The Surgical Hospital at Southwoods in Boardman, Ohio. This role is essential in guiding direct patient care within the surgical suite, ensuring safety, efficiency, and clinical excellence in a physician-owned environment.
Essential Duties- Surgical Advocacy:
Perform the circulating nurse’s role, identifying the patient and verifying the correct surgical intervention according to strict policies and procedures. - Clinical Preparation:
Assemble and verify the functionality of equipment, supplies, and instruments prior to the start of each procedure. - Patient Safety:
Assist with safe and proper patient positioning and prepare the operative site as directed by established clinical protocols. - Aseptic Integrity:
Monitor and ensure strict compliance with the principles of aseptic technique throughout the perioperative period. - Documentation:
Maintain accurate patient care records and clinical forms, ensuring a comprehensive and articulate clinical picture. - Collaboration:
Participate as a proactive team member to support optimal patient outcomes and experiences. - Resource Management:
Practice cost-containment by using resources appropriately while maintaining high standards of care. - Compliance:
Ensure all processes maintain compliance with regulatory agencies and uphold patient privacy (HIPAA).
- Licensure:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio. - Certification:
Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and ACLS certifications are required. - Core Competencies:
Strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to delegate appropriately within the surgical team. - Professionalism:
Proven ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced surgical environment while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Status:
Full-time (32 hours per week). - Work-Life Balance:
