About the Role
Southwoods Health is seeking a Charge Nurse for our Endoscopy Department. This leadership role is responsible for supervising staff and directing patient care to ensure the highest standards of safety and clinical excellence.
- Clinical Supervision:
Leads the department in supporting patient outcomes and managing day-to-day operations. - Care Planning:
Develops and implements effective care plans while utilizing resources efficiently for cost containment. - Quality & Safety:
Monitors documentation and patient conditions, ensuring staff carry out orders and interventions appropriately. - Team Leadership:
Supervises and monitors all department staff, including participation in hiring, disciplinary actions, and performance appraisals. - Communication:
Keeps the perioperative team and physicians informed of patient status or departmental issues. - Compliance:
Ensures all processes comply with regulatory agencies (OSHA, ODH, BOP, TJC, etc.) and maintains patient confidentiality. - Performance Improvement:
Participates in data collection and department-wide performance initiatives.

Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio.
Certifications: Current AHA BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.
Experience: Previous Endoscopy experience required; prior management experience preferred.
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Skills: Strong leadership, clinical documentation, and the ability to delegate effectively.
Soft Skills: Exceptional prioritization, time management, and a professional demeanor.
Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday, Dayshift. No evenings or weekend.
