Our Auditing and Attest Engagement services are fundamental to the success of our firm. The audit and advisory team at Withum has the expertise to instill confidence in financial information for stakeholders. We provide a range of audit services tailored to various client sizes and industries.
As a key member of Withum's Healthcare Services group, you will lead our efforts in delivering audit services to healthcare organizations. Collaborate with a team of esteemed CPAs and industry front runners, dedicated solely to healthcare. In this role, you will oversee all phases of audit engagements from planning through to completion, including mentoring and supervising staff while cultivating client relationships.
Your Role Will Include:- Leading engagement team members during the planning and execution phases of audit, review, or compilation engagements, ensuring top-tier client service.
- Managing daily operations of audit engagements, overseeing staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, and financial reporting.
- Providing guidance and support to engagement staff and facilitating open communication with the engagement manager and partner.
- Collaborating with managers and partners to address client issues and proposing solutions for any legal, regulatory, or accounting matters that arise during audits.
- Reviewing general ledger accounts for accuracy in entries, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Handling multiple engagements simultaneously and effectively meeting client deadlines.
- Creating and monitoring engagement budgets to identify inefficiencies throughout the audit process.
- Conducting constructive performance discussions with team members and providing appropriate counsel.
- Participating in professional development programs as a leader or instructor.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
- CPA certification or progress toward obtaining it.
- A minimum of 2 years of public accounting experience, with a record of leading engagements and supervising staff.
- Experience working with clients in the healthcare sector, including healthcare systems, hospitals, and both for-profit and non-profit organizations.
- Knowledge of uniform guidance as it relates to healthcare entities.
- Strong analytical, technical, and auditing abilities, with familiarity in US GAAP due to the complexity of this sector.
- Exceptional client service and communication skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and training skills, along with excellent verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with meticulous attention to detail and innovative problem-solving capabilities.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
The compensation range for this position varies by location. In addition to a competitive salary, Withum offers a robust benefits package and a bonus program based on performance. This position can be based in Whippany, NJ with annual salary ranges from $80,000 to $97,500, or in New York City with salary ranges from $85,000 to $105,000.
