Accounting Manager / Future Controller (Manufacturing)

A growing manufacturing and distribution company is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to join its leadership team. This is a highly visible opportunity with a clear path toward Controller responsibilities for the right individual.

• Lead month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and general ledger activities
• Manage inventory accounting, inventory controls, and cost accounting processes
• Analyze inventory variances, cost trends, and operational performance
• Support P&L review, allocations, and financial analysis
• Partner closely with operations, purchasing, and leadership teams
• Drive AP/AR process improvements and accounting efficiencies
• Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal controls
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, audits, and special projects

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Manufacturing, distribution, consumer products, or inventory-intensive industry experience preferred
• Experience with cost accounting, inventory management, and variance analysis
• Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close
• Advanced Excel skills
• CPA preferred but not required
