$75,000 – $95,000 per year | Cape Saint Clair, MD | Hybrid | Permanent

Overview

We are looking for a dynamic Senior Accountant or Fund Accountant to join our fast‑paced Real Estate and Investment Management team. This permanent, hybrid role allows you to work remotely and in-office.

Job Details Responsibilities

Support all aspects of Fund Accounting

Perform month‑end closing activities such as reconciliations and journal entries

Coordinate with finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines

Generate client billing and conduct account reconciliation promptly and accurately

Evaluate computerized accounting systems and provide recommendations to IT team for performance improvements

Generate financial reports and statements to managers for review

Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend effective resolutions

Monitor expenditures, analyze revenues and determine budget variances and report the same to management

Respond to accounting inquiries from management in a timely fashion

Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for assigned accounts

Assist in auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentation

Conduct periodical reviews for insurance, tax, VAT and other related compliance

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

Minimum 2+ years of experience in accounting or related field

Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point

Deep knowledge of best practices in accounting and financial management

Familiarity with fund accounting, month‑end close, reconciliations, payables coding, and foreign exchange calculations

Experience with Yardi or equivalent software

Ability to work in a hybrid environment, independently and as part of a team

Strong attention to detail with an aptitude for numbers

Excellent problem‑solving, project management, and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a firm grasp of individual project details

Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines

Adherence to laws and confidentiality guidelines

Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is a plus
