Senior Accountant

Our client a large privately owned Real Estate Investment company is looking for a Senior Accountant to join the Property Accounting Team in their Boca Raton office. This position will work on a broad portfolio of assigned commercial properties. Preferred candidate should have at least two years of property accounting experience with a commercial real estate company. We are seeking a candidate that has excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team.

• Perform monthly and quarterly close procedures for assigned properties
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements for assigned properties
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and identify/resolve any discrepancies
• Oversee Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables for assigned properties
• Calculate all monthly, quarterly, and annual CAM charges for assigned properties and maintain tenant operating expense billings/accruals in accordance with lease terms
• Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecast for assigned properties
• Work on a regular basis with property management and asset management to clearly communicate all financial reporting, property issues, and asset investment issues
• Establish and maintain co-operative and collaborative relationships with internal and external parties

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
• Excellent verbal and written communication skill
• Minimum two years of commercial property accounting experience
• Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and responsibilities in a fast‑paced environment with a high degree of attention to detail
• Motivated self‑starter comfortable working in person, or in a hybrid environment
