Senior Fund Accountant - Hedge Fund

A leading investment management firm is seeking an experienced Senior Fund Accountant to join its Fund Accounting team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a fund accounting professional with hedge fund experience who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment supporting sophisticated investment strategies.

• Maintain the accounting records for assigned hedge funds and managed accounts, including reviewing the work of junior team members and outsourced accounting resources.
• Perform and review daily reconciliations between internal trading systems and Advent Geneva, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Review NAV packages prepared by third-party administrators and coordinate the resolution of accounting and valuation issues.
• Analyze P&L, balance sheet activity, and key NAV drivers to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
• Partner with internal teams, fund administrators, and auditors on accounting, valuation, and reporting matters.
• Review valuation inputs and pricing sources across a variety of asset classes, including derivatives.
• Identify opportunities to enhance accounting, reconciliation, and reporting processes while supporting operational improvements.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and contribute to ongoing team development.
• Support management with ad hoc analysis, reporting, and special projects.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience in hedge fund accounting, alternative investment accounting, or public accounting with exposure to investment funds.
• Strong working knowledge of Advent Geneva.
• Advanced Excel skills and exceptional analytical capabilities.
• Experience working with third-party fund administrators and complex hedge fund structures.
• Excellent communication skills with a strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
• Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, or other reporting and data visualization tools.
• Strong understanding of hedge fund structures, NAV calculations, and valuation processes.
• Experience accounting for exchange-traded securities, fixed income products, and derivatives.
