Position: Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Boca Raton, FL (Fully Onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $60,000 - $65,000K
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Accounting team in Boca Raton, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-volume accounts payable processing within a large corporate or public company environment. This individual will play a key role in managing vendor relationships, processing invoices, and payments, supporting month-end close activities, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Initiate and monitor invoice approval workflows.
- Perform 2-way and 3-way invoice matching.
- Maintain vendor master records, onboarding documentation, and contracts.
- Process ACH payments and check runs.
- Prepare payment batches for management approval.
- Reconcile corporate credit card transactions and supporting documentation.
- Assist with monthly close activities and annual audits.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records within ERP/accounting systems.
- Support process improvements and internal control initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience.
- Experience working in a public company or large corporate environment.
- Experience supporting high-volume vendor processing environments.
- Strong understanding of AP processes, invoice matching, and payment processing.
- Proficiency with ERP/Accounting systems.
- Advanced MS Excel and Outlook skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
