We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. This vital role offers the opportunity to manage comprehensive accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all financial operations. - Manage full-cycle bookkeeping processes, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all transactions adhere to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and internal policies.
- Prepare accurate financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports on a regular basis.
- Utilize accounting software such as Quick Books, Xero, Sage, People Soft, or similar systems to record and analyze financial data efficiently.
- Conduct account analysis and account reconciliation to verify data accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Handle confidential information with integrity while managing payroll processing through systems like ADP or Ulti Pro.
- Support internal controls and compliance measures related to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements and governmental accounting standards.
- Assist with budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost analysis to aid strategic decision-making.
- Perform data entry with high accuracy using 10-key typing skills and double-entry bookkeeping techniques.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial records.
- Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles with a strong understanding of corporate accounting principles.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Quick Books, Xero, Sage, People Soft, Ceridian, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of GAAP standards as well as governmental accounting practices is highly desirable.
- Experience working with financial systems like Workday, Paychex, Kronos, ADP, Ulti Pro or equivalent is preferred.
- Strong technical accounting skills including journal entries, account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, debits & credits, and general ledger management.
- Excellent numeracy skills combined with math proficiency for accurate account analysis and credit assessments.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially while maintaining high levels of accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
- Demonstrated ability to perform Excel data analysis using spreadsheets for reporting and financial review purposes.
- Strong organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-moving environment.
