Junior Staff Accountant

Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Staff Accountant to join our finance team at our corporate headquarters. This role is ideal for an early-career accounting professional looking to build a strong foundation in general ledger accounting, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting within a large, fast-paced corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Assist with preparation of journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations

+ Support month-end and year-end close processes

+ Reconcile bank accounts, prepaid expenses, and accrued liabilities

+ Help maintain accuracy of financial records and supporting documentation

+ Assist with fixed asset tracking and depreciation schedules

+ Prepare reports and schedules for internal management

+ Support audits by gathering requested financial documentation

+ Partner with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other departments to resolve discrepancies

+ Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

+ 1+ year of accounting experience, internship experience, or strong entry-level foundation

+ Understanding of general ledger accounting and account reconciliations

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

+ Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

+ High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Experience working in a corporate or multi-entity environment

+ Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Net Suite

+ Internship or prior experience supporting month-end close
