Finance and Admin Controller — Track, Be involved in running Business | Boca Raton, FL; Hybrid

Star Refining, Inc. is a Boca Raton (Florida) precious metals refining company with a straightforward pitch: we’re looking for a Finance and Admin Controller with energy and confidence who wants to be involved in running the business and supporting a small management team.

You will take full ownership of our finance function — general ledger, month-end close, budgeting, cash flow, AP/AR, and payroll — working directly alongside our CEO. This is not a sink-or-swim solo seat: it's a defined path from strong technical fundamentals to running the show, with a clear review at 12 months and an Administrative/Accounting Assistant planned to join once you've grown into full scope.

• Own the full accounting cycle in Quick Books Online — GL, close, reconciliations, reporting
• Build budgets and cash flow forecasts
• Run payroll (Paychex Flex) and oversee HR/benefits administration
• Manage banking, AP/AR, and vendor relationships
• You would be expected to contribute to driving improved processes and internal controls
• Assume ownership of the company’s annual financial audit -- be the interface with external auditors

• 5+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience — senior accountant, assistant controller, public accounting, or similar.
• Solid grounding in GAAP, financial reporting, and Quick Books Online
• CPA/CMA (or at advanced stage of working toward one)
• Comfortable working independently while building toward a larger role
