Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a fast-paced finance team in Florida. This is a contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role for someone who thrives in a high-volume environment, values accuracy, and can manage invoice processing with strong attention to detail. The position is fully onsite during standard business hours and supports payment operations across multiple locations.

Responsibilities:

• Process a large monthly volume of invoices while maintaining accuracy, timeliness, and proper documentation.
• Review and code invoices, ensuring expenses are assigned correctly and aligned with company policies.
• Perform three-way matching by verifying invoices against purchase orders and receiving records before payment approval.
• Manage payment activities such as ACH transactions and check runs in accordance with established schedules.
• Use Workday, Coupa, and Excel to track accounts payable activity, research discrepancies, and maintain organized records.
• Support accounts payable operations for multiple locations by coordinating with internal teams and resolving invoice or payment issues.
• Investigate exceptions, vendor questions, and unmatched items to keep transactions moving efficiently through the approval process.
• Contribute to a collaborative onsite team environment by helping maintain smooth daily workflow in a growing department.
