Summary
This exciting opportunity at Lynn University will encompass the duties of a Dispatcher with an additional customer service role. The individual will be responsible for the successful day-to-day flight, ground, and simulator dispatching and training operations. The Dispatcher understands their daily duties and activities should consistently lead to safe and successful training flights.
Job DescriptionEssential Duties and Responsibilities
- Uphold and enforce Lynn University’s safety procedures and guidelines.
- Dispatch and monitor all aircraft.
- Receive flight tickets and issue aircraft documents as appropriate.
- Maintain inspection time remaining reports for the Aircraft Maintenance Department.
- Generate and disburse flight dispatch and maintenance reports.
- Maintain and optimize the daily, weekly, and monthly flight schedule.
- Provide customer service and deal directly with current and potential student customers.
- Check lessons out and in for students at the beginning and end of the lesson block.
- Support the Flight Operations Manager and assist with execution of all company directives.
- Coordinate scheduled and unscheduled fleet maintenance with the DOM and FOM.
- Perform general administrative duties such as answering phone calls and emails, filing and maintaining paperwork, and checking accuracy of paperwork and documents related to Flight Operations.
- Maintain the facility within company standards.
- Maintain knowledge of the scheduling and billing software systems.
- Perform general office duties and administration.
- Prior aviation experience preferred.
- Part 141 dispatch experience preferred.
- Strong customer service skills required.
- Understanding of Part 141 regulations.
- Represent and uphold company Core Values.

- Strong presentation, organizational, and time management skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and Flight Schedule Pro.

- Some night, weekend and holiday hours can be expected – Lynn University College of Aeronautics is open most days a year.
