Position Summary
The Center for Online and Continuing Education (COCE) at Florida Atlantic University is hiring a Software Developer in Boca Raton, FL. The role focuses on designing, developing, and supporting web and desktop applications that enable high‑quality online course delivery. Responsibilities include software development across multiple platforms, data visualization, workflow automation, training delivery, and cross‑functional collaboration with the eLearning team.
Summary of Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain web applications to provide departmental data and dashboards for executive leadership.
- Build and sustain the COCE database and related tracking tools.
- Create desktop applications to improve productivity and information access.
- Develop data visualizations, reports, dashboards, and projections using available analytics tools.
- Develop and deliver live and pre‑produced training, including instructional materials and objects.
- Perform additional duties as delegated by the Associate Executive Director of eLearning.
- Master’s degree in an appropriate field, ORa bachelor's degree in an appropriate field with two years of relevant experience.
- Experience providing hardware and software support, troubleshooting, and end‑user training.
- Strong background in business analytics, data analysis, and object‑oriented programming concepts.
- Proficiency with Git Hub, AI‑enabled tools, and workflow/approval automation technologies.
- Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Forms, Power Automate, and Power Apps.
- Experience with web conferencing and collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
- Familiarity with multiple enterprise systems, programming languages, and collaborative technology platforms.
- Competitive salary of $65,000 per year.
