OverviewWe are hiring a Support Services & Purchasing Manager to work at our secondary location in Boca Raton, FL. (This is not a remote position – it is fully onsite.) This is a hands‑on position with management responsibilities that will perform a variety of duties as required to maintain a constant flow of materials, equipment and supplies to our dental clinics and Support Center.
The selected candidate must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work quickly in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. The ideal candidate will have a dental background (Office Manager and/or Dental Assistant), strong management and administrative capabilities, and be proactive, resourceful, and driven by a high sense of urgency.
- Process daily orders from our +140 dental offices
- Support vendor purchasing requirements, such as state/government issued license
- Perform inventory reconciliation and inventory level assessments
- Collaborate with other departments and leadership to identify and develop needs and requirements for equipment, materials, products, and acceptable substitutions
- Assess current material availability; reasonably predict future availability based on the market, delivery systems, and other variables
- Resolve grievances with vendors, contractors, and suppliers
- Compile, review and analyze data
- Recommend changes to improve efficiency
- Perform other duties as assigned
- 3+ years of dental experience in office management and/or dental assisting
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word)
- Critical thinking skills, ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines
- Capacity to work independently or within a team environment, follow direction, trouble shoot and meet goals and objectives in a timely manner
- Associates Degree preferred;
High School Diploma or equivalent required
